On the southwestern tip of continental Europe, Portugal is an old school country. In this article, we take a look at Lisbon, Lagos and the Algarve.
Lisbon
Lisbon is the capital of Portugal. It's located on the Atlantic coast and has a lot to offer.
The first thing that catches my eye when I walk out of the train station is the beautiful view from the shore. There's a connection between the two cities, though.
As you walk into the city, everything is clean and relaxing. There are no restaurants or bars, and most of the streets are only walking paths. It is a great budget destination.
Algarve
The Algarve is a collection of beaches located in Portugal's southwest region. Some believe that this area only covers the beaches located on the Mediterranean Sea's southern coast.
Those who like more modern music will find plenty of clubs and theatres in Albuferira and Lagos. There are also plenty of sandy beaches to enjoy.
The towns of Tavira and Silves are both stunning examples of old Portuguese architecture. Both have castle ruins and elegant old houses.
The easiest way to get to the Algarve from abroad is by plane. The main town of Praia da Luz is still a pleasant place to visit even though most of it was destroyed by an earthquake in 1755. There are also interesting buildings around the area.
With so much variety of beaches to choose from, it's no wonder that many people come back for more. There's something for everyone in this area, with some of the most exclusive resorts and hotels nearby.
The Algarve region is a great place to visit for a holiday. There's plenty to see and do in this area, and it's easily accessible from anywhere in Portugal.
If you're looking for something a bit different, then the Algarve has something for everyone. There are numerous attractions in the region, including Parque Natural da Ria Formosa, which features a huge wetland system.
There are also ways to get around this stunning location, such as heading west and watching the coastline become more rugged.
The western coast of Portugal is home to the Parque do Suisse do Alentejano e Vice Costantina. This park was created in 1995 to protect the environment from development.
The west coast of Portugal's Algarve is full of beaches and plenty of places to stay, while the Atlantic is rough and can be quite dangerous.
Lagos
This is a beach community that's got everything you could want in paradise.
My only complaint about living in San Diego is that its population has exploded beyond my expectations. Its still nice, but I'm starting to consider moving elsewhere.
You can also stay in a hotel in Lagos. However, this is not a good idea since it will give you the impression that you are staying with a family.

Portugal and Lagos are the best bars in the world. I almost purchased a bar in California after bribing a friend to call me and tell me that I was getting married.
Hey, how about you? We could probably still get a good deal!
