Some of these countries, such as Romania, Bulgaria, Cyprus, and Liechtenstein, are planning on joining the Schengen area. However, before they can join, they will require a visa to enter the region.

Fortunately, there are many countries in the Schengen area that are able to issue a solitary visa. These include the Baltic States.
