Top best tips visiting Ireland

This article talks about why people should visit Ireland and how it has changed in the last 30 years. Crime rates are low and despite the odd incident, generally it's now safe to visit Ireland.

I could write about Ireland's history but would like to do a potted version as a background. For an island that small, it has had turbulent times.

Christianity arrived in Ireland around 450 AD. During this time, there were four provinces, namely, Ulster, Connacht, and Leinster. It was during this period that the Vikings arrived and reigned over the country.

Henry 2nd helped the king of Leinster get banished. He then sent Strongbow, who effectively took over Ireland.

Henry 2nd of England wanted to take Ireland from the Norman Barons, but this did weaken and he would later be replaced by Norman Barons. This would then go on to spawn more conflict once again due to his personal views on marriage.

Oliver Cromwell attacked those who did not support the cause, and the Irish Catholics were exiled to the west coast.

The Battle of the Boyne took place in 1690 and led to the protestant victory of William. In 1800 an Act of Union was passed which made Ireland a part of the United Kingdom.

Following the Easter Rising in 1916, many people wanted to stay aligned with the UK. A bloody civil war then erupted between the supporters of the UK and the Irish.

During the 1960s, the civil right started a global movement. Northern Ireland was no exception, as some young Catholics were permitted to attend universities for the very first time. Rightwing groups also began campaigning for voting rights, and in some areas, business ownership.

In response to the internment of soldiers, the Catholic community turned against the army. This led to more violence and deaths over the next thirty years. Eventually, the Good Friday agreement was signed, which led to the formation of a power sharing government in 2009.

For your holiday in Ireland, there is still a Northern Ireland with six counties and they still use pound sterling. The other 26 counties still use the Euro.

ATM machines are available in most areas but in rural areas they are very limited. If you are staying in a town then get in touch with a town clerk.

Spring begins around March and lasts until June, with temperatures ranging from 10 to 15 degrees Celsius. Summer then begins from July and lasts until September, with average temperatures of around 15-22 degrees. Fall then begins around October and drops significantly below freezing.

Winter begins in January and ends in March. At this time, we usually get a few waves of snow and then a large, frenzied flurry which can get up to a foot deep.

Regardless of the season, you can always guarantee rain. A light rain jacket is highly recommended.

Why you should visit Switzerland

On my last day in Switzerland, I reflected on my trip and what I learned. There are many differences in the country and I've stepped out of my comfort zone.

Food and eating are both experiences. If weather permits, you can eat outdoors. Plan to spend at least 1 hour eating and talking.

Since I'm not fat, I've never met anyone who is overweight in Switzerland. In fact, since I am not obese, most people here are incredibly active and look great.

Switzerland has plenty of places where you can find chocolate. On every corner there is a shop or bakery that has it.

Switzerland's mountains are truly stunning. There are people who come here to hike, while others ski and enjoy the beautiful views. When the snow has fallen, many of us are going to check the trail to see if we should ski or not.

With a Eurail pass, you can travel throughout Switzerland on a truly country-wide train system. It's a great way to get around the country and visit various attractions.

We were most impressed by the people in Switzerland who could speak multiple languages. I had a hard time learning the language at high school, but everyone was very helpful.

Switzerland is a great base from which to explore Europe. It is bordered by Austria, France, Germany, and Italy.

The Swiss Alps are some of the most stunning places in the world. There are numerous hiking trails in the area that can be enjoyed during the summer, such as the Jungfrau Area and the Matterhorn.

The Swiss Alps are famous for their stunning snowfields and ski resorts. When they are fully covered with snow, these areas become one of the best places to ski in the world.

Aside from stunning mountains, Switzerland also has some of the biggest bodies of water in Europe. The Rhine Falls in Schaffhausen are located in the country's southeast, and they measure approximately 75 feet high.

Switzerland has a varied cuisine, with dishes that are influenced by the cuisines of other countries. If you are in a canton near France, for instance, you will find dishes such as chevreau with potato and leek soup.

The most famous Swiss food is cheese, which comes from the cows that graze in the Alps. There are many places to buy cheese fondue and other Swiss food.

Aside from cheese and chocolates, there are also plenty of other things to do in Switzerland, such as visit the famous Swiss Army Museum. There are also various watches that are made by some of the world's finest brands, such as Swatch and Chopard.

There are many great museums in Switzerland. Some of these include the Swiss Transport Museum in Lucerne and the National Museum in Zurich.

Travel Europe by train, a must try Experience

Before the use of planes and autos, train travel was used to transport goods and people. It is also used to transport livestock and people.

Since people use trains to travel across Europe, they have the opportunity to meet local residents. They can tell them about the best restaurants and attractions in their area. They also know about the local weather conditions.

While flying is a great way to get around, train travel is also a great way to see the countryside that you would not get while driving. It's also a great way to save time.

Royalty have been using trains to visit their citizens for many years.

Whether it's a school trip, a work trip, a vacation or both, train travel is the way to go.

I would like to describe my experience as a luxury train vacation. The Palace on Wheels train is a great example of a luxury travel vehicle that I would like to own.

Although Europe is very stylish and elegant, there is no catering service. Standard-class interiors were made to look like jet-liner cabins. This is no-frills train travel.

It's a great way to get around Europe and discover numerous fascinating places to visit. There are numerous areas of Europe that are well-known and some of them are Bulgaria, Romania, and Hungary.

With Europe train pass, you can travel to almost 30 countries in Europe for a month. It's a great way to save money on travel accommodations.

Modern trains have comfortable seats. They will allow you to travel in style while avoiding the delays and driving.

Most people planning on traveling to Europe have a long-term view of wanting to explore the continent. One of the best ways to get there is by rail.

Since high-speed trains have become more expensive, many people have started reserving seats. However, this usually comes with a price tag.

Sometimes it can work out to be cheaper to buy a point to point ticket than a standard one. For instance, if you're in Italy and want to travel to Venice then you can buy a cheaper ticket from Rome to Venice.

A rail pass is a great way to explore Europe as it allows unlimited travel within specified boundaries.

Do you want to travel by high speed train to Europe? Or do you want to take the slower route?

High speed trains have advantages over regional trains in that they can connect greater distances and reduce travel times. They are also more flexible and provide more comfort.

Travel Europe Easy: Schengen Visas

Once upon a time, it was very difficult for non-Europeans to travel Europe without having agreements with specific countries. This has changed, however, with the introduction of the Schengen area.

The UK and Ireland are two exceptions to the Schengen area. Both countries only allow citizens of other Schengen countries to visit them with a visa. This is because of the UK's controversial immigration policies.

Since the Schengen area was opened up to the public, it is possible to visit some of the countries, such as the Baltic States, with a single visa. This is valid for a certain number of days, and usually, you will get an extra day if something goes wrong.

Your visa will usually be extended to six months from the date of your first visit. This indicates that the authorities are satisfied with how you behaved in the first time.

Any flight that is departing from another Schengen country will have to pass through immigration, and your passport and visa will be thoroughly checked. After you've left one Schengen country, you'll need to apply for a visa at the next consulate.

Some of these countries, such as Romania, Bulgaria, Cyprus, and Liechtenstein, are planning on joining the Schengen area. However, before they can join, they will require a visa to enter the region.

Fortunately, there are many countries in the Schengen area that are able to issue a solitary visa. These include the Baltic States.

Basically, the same goes for getting a Schengen visa. You will need to provide proof that you have the necessary funds and reservations for accommodations.

When traveling from a non-Schengen country, you will have to pass through immigration to get your passport and visa. Once you leave from one Schengen country to another, your visa will not be checked again.

The UK and Ireland are both exceptions to the Schengen area. The UK has a controversial immigration policy, which prevents many non-UK nationals from entering the country. They only allow those with a UK visa to visit.

These 4 countries are: Romania, Bulgaria, Cyprus, and Liechtenstein. As of yet, they will not be joining the Schengen area.

How to travel Europe on a cheap budget

In the last few years, there has been a huge influx of budget and discount airlines operating in almost every European country. Do these deals really benefit us or are they just another way to get us to Europe at a cheap price?

In Europe, there are at least one budget airline in every country. Easy Jet and Ryan Air are becoming established names in Ireland and Great Britain. Germany also has several low cost airlines.

At first glance, the cheap air fares that these airlines charge seem incredibly low. However, there's a catch: You still have to pay the airport tax.

Low-cost airlines usually use out-of-town provincial airports in Europe, which can take up to two hours to travel from each end. If you are planning on getting to the city centre, make sure that you factor in the cost of the additional transportation when comparing prices.

If you're stuck in a remote airport for a long period of time, you could be stuck there overnight.

You pay for what you get. If European budget airlines don't provide in-flight service for beverages and food, you may be charged for it at a premium rate.

Take the time to figure out the total distance traveled and the costs. For instance, it takes five hours to go from Glasgow to London by train.

It's a good idea to check in advance as this will add a few hours to your trip, especially if you have to deal with the additional baggage handling and waiting around at the airports.

Also, the prices are only for APEX travelers. If you need to change your flight date, you might have to pay a lot more.

You can save money by choosing a discount airline package carefully. However, do not forget to factor in all the hidden costs.

Regional airlines in Europe usually use out of town provincial airports, which can add a couple of hours to your travel time. You also have to buy a ticket for the bus or train connection from the airport to the city centre.

You might think that flying from Glasgow to London with two airports is a great deal, but it actually adds three hours to your trip. This is especially true if you are going to spend a lot of time at the airports.

At first glance it seems like a bargain; but what about the catch?

Cheap airfare ticket prices are only available for APEX travelers. You might also have to pay a lot extra for a change in flight time. Usually, the cheaper ticket prices are available only if you buy in advance.
